# ASI:Work

> The ASI:One desktop app for coding and everyday work: download, install, sign in, and run your first task.

## Overview

ASI:Work is our desktop agent. It runs on your machine, works through tasks step
by step, and comes preconfigured for ASI:One models: `asi1`, `asi1-ultra`, and
`asi1-mini`. No provider setup, no model wiring. Sign in with your ASI:One
account and everything is ready.

You can use it for both development and everyday work:

* Edit files, run commands, and work through multi-step coding tasks in your
  project.
* Research, draft, and tidy up documents and files on your computer.

## Prerequisites

* An ASI:One account. Create one at [asi1.ai](https://asi1.ai).
* A plan that fits your model needs. The same account works for `asi1`,
  `asi1-ultra`, and `asi1-mini`.

## Download

The latest installers are always at the same addresses:

* **macOS (Apple Silicon)**:
  [ASI-One.dmg](https://downloads.asi1.ai/asi-one-desktop/darwin/arm64/ASI-One.dmg)
* **macOS (Intel)**:
  [ASI-One.dmg](https://downloads.asi1.ai/asi-one-desktop/darwin/x64/ASI-One.dmg)

You can also download ASI:Work from the developer portal at
[asi1.ai/developer](https://asi1.ai/developer).

## Install

On macOS, open the downloaded DMG and drag ASI:One to your Applications
folder. The app checks for updates automatically and keeps itself current.

## Sign in

When you first open the app, it asks you to sign in with your ASI:One account.
The sign-in opens in your system browser, and the app picks up the session when
you return. No API key setup is required - the app creates its own key for your
organization and keeps it in your system credential store.

## Run your first task

Open the Work tab, pick a project folder, and describe a task:

```
Read the README in this folder and summarize the setup steps.
```

The agent works through the task step by step and asks for approval before it
writes files or runs commands. Switch between `asi1`, `asi1-ultra`, and
`asi1-mini` in the model picker at any time.
